Stemerman: We’re on the Ballot and Ready to Fight to Save Connecticut

Campaign Releases Latest Statewide Ad “Different”

STAMFORD CT – David Stemerman, a political outsider, businessman and Republican Gubernatorial candidate, responded to the news that the Stemerman campaign had achieved the number of signatures to earn a place on the August primary ballot:

“After months of hard work from our volunteers, staff, and family and friends, I couldn’t be more proud that we have overcome an extremely difficult obstacle to ensure our place on the August primary ballot,” said Stemerman. “Having overcome this challenge that’s set up by political insiders to keep outsiders like myself off of the ballot, I am all in for fighting for the people of Connecticut. The message I will be delivering to voters over the next eight weeks is simple: we need to turn the moving trucks around and once again make Connecticut the best place in the country to live, work, and raise a family.

The announcement comes in conjunction with the release of the campaign’s fourth television ad, “Different”.

“The timing of our entry onto the ballot is perfect to coincide with the release of our fourth major campaign ad,” said Patrick Sweeney, Campaign Manager of the Stemerman campaign. “We have the most robust campaign, the resources, the infrastructure and more important, the real ideas, to succeed in the primary and beat Ned Lamont, who represents a third Dan Malloy term – something our state cannot afford.”

BACKGROUND: David and his wife have been proud to raise their five children in Connecticut where he started his own business, Conatus Capital, ten years ago, and built it from a single desk to a multi-billion dollar business. He understands what causes businesses to succeed and fail, what works and what doesn’t. And most importantly, he knows what it takes to grow jobs and wages, and has a track record of delivering results.

Stemerman was recently recognized by the Hartford Courant as “alone among the candidates” – of either party – to lay out specific and credible plans to save Connecticut from a looming financial crisis. Stemerman’s plans will build on Connecticut’s former strengths to turn around the moving vans and grow our economy for families and job-creators.
